OBJECTIVE

Establish Rose Quarter as a leading destination in Cambridge, through raising their profile on social media. Our challenge was to engage more followers and increase engagement to support retailers and increase footfall to stores.

METHOD

Following extensive demographic research of Cambridge, the results leaned towards an audience open to visual storytelling and high quality content. A social and content strategy was created in accordance with this data. Understanding the audience’s persona both online and on-site has transformed the entire profile into a multi-colour themed, destination page. We made the switch from low resolution stock imagery to tactical professional photography and videos, with subtle promotional content. This ensured balance in social selling psychology with the followers whilst enticing them to visit the shopping street.

OUTCOME

We have significantly raised the profile and the number of followers. Rose Quarter’s Instagram page alone has gained over 2300% increased traction over a period of 9 months. Post likes have increased 230% over the past 6 months and the follower count has grown by 76%. Rose Quarter has also gained trust from various content creators in the Cambridge Area, allowing for a strong brand advocacy programme to go forward.
