To support the launch of The Light Cinema at Castle Quay as well as celebrating April Fool’s, without licensed film content.
We developed a social media campaign to celebrate film and cinema content using photoshopped classic movie references onto images at Castle Quay and the Waterfront, for instance the shark from Jaws was photoshopped into Banbury’s canal.
The results were astonishing, and the campaign was the talk of the town! We achieved 388 likes on one Facebook post alone – the overall campaign had a reach of 17,000 and 4,800 engagements. We found this was a very effective way of engaging our audience and gave us a chance to analyse how our audience reacted to different content – which was overall very positive!
